That is not to say modern amenities are lacking, many thoughtful touches like a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious bathroom with a hand-made bronze bathtub & luxury modern sanitaryware, and the incredibly comfy mattress are subtly added to the overall ambiance.

One word to describe the whole stay— perfect. From the responsiveness of the hosts to the cleanliness and design of the apartment, we were thoroughly impressed. Phuong’s team assisted us from start to the end, always ready to answer our queries, and was very understanding of our plight (one of us was sick).
This place is also well-maintained. A lot of the Airbnbs that I stay in are pretty but never maintained to the best standards. But this place looked brand new! Hope Phuong and team can continue keeping this place to be in such tip top shape!
I am generally very critical of Airbnbs, and being a host myself I know it takes a lot of effort and thoughtfulness to run an Airbnb that excels in so many aspects— so I genuinely wanna give big props to the whole team.
I would seriously recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in Hanoi for holiday. Its location is great (we can walk to the Opera House). Though slightly pricey than other accommodations, it’s worth every cent!
Phuong was fantastic to correspond with. Super helpful and very responsive. He went above and beyond allowing us to store luggage, helping us with getting a taxi to the airport, and leaving great recommendations for restaurants and sites to see. The place was beautifully furnished (bathroom is gorgeous) and spotless. It both appeared slightly smaller than the photos and at the same time it was plenty of space for our family. The beds and bedding are super comfortable and it’s easy to split the rooms with a dividing door and both rooms still have access to the bathroom. Two couples who knew each other well could easily make the space work. Phuong is a super super host. The entrance is a bit confusing at first but don’t let that throw you off. Five stars!

Phuong and his business partner Lam provided the best Airbnb experience I have ever had. Just two minutes from the Opera and the Iconic Metropole hotel, the flat could not be more central to the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Each of its rooms was spacious, decorated in local art and featured separate A/C units. There is affordable laundry service on request. The bedroom (tremendous mattress) and bathroom were standouts, and my wife especially enjoyed the vintage tub and seating area when getting ready for nights out. Lam and Phuong always communicated promptly and helped arrange a transfer to Halong Bay and the best private cruise. They also operate a travel company with expertise in Southeast Asia. We shared two meals during which they filled me in on their approach to hospitaltiy. This can also be seen in their detailed guides with everything from in-depth site descriptions to offers of motorbike food tours. We remain friends. It is a pleasure to recommend their Airbnb wholeheartedly.
